The central idea and vision for the Master's degree program in Communication and Media Engineering is to educate a scientific and application-oriented elite in the cutting-edge telecommunication and digital media technologies.
The program provides graduates with the necessary knowledge, methods and tools for a career in the field of media and communication technology. Students learn, discuss, perform labs and projects.
Practical experience can be gained during internships, pursued either in research projects within the University or in industry. The Master's thesis has a minimum duration of 6 months and can also be prepared either externally or within the University.
After graduation, students can follow an academic career and pursue a doctoral degree together with Offenburg University's partner institution. However, most of our graduates directly enter the business world, either in Germany or in their home countries. Many companies are highly seeking qualified technical staff with an international background.
