  • Secondary-school final certificate, translated to German or English. The certificate has to be certified and the final grad of the certificate has to be transfered to the German grade system by the Studienkolleg Konstanz.
  • German language certificate (DSH 2, DSD 2, Telc C1, TestDaF 4, Goethe certificate level C2 or certificate of the German language exam, which is part of the university qualification exam at the "Studienkolleg")
  • Residence permit
  • Proof of having taken the orientation test (the test is available in German only).
  • Passport-size photograph
  • Proof of health insurance

Fees per semester:

€ 134 administration fees

€ 650 state tuition fee for a second degree (only for EU citizens who already obtained a master's degree from a German university)

€ 1500 state tuition fee for non-EU citizens (exemptions see below)

 

You are exempted from the tuition fees (EUR 1500) if:

  • You have received your qualification of university entrance in/from Germany
  • You are a citizen of the EU and/or the EEA
  • Your spouse or one of your parents is a citizen of the EU and/or EEA
  • You are officially recognized as a refugee in Germany
  • You are an exchange student from one of Offenburg University's partner universities, or
  • You were already enrolled at Offenburg University before the 2017/2018 winter semester

Where can I take the German language exam?

You may take the exam for the German language course at any of the language schools in and around Offenburg that offer them (website in German only); or use the link here (website in German only). The "TestDaF" is a test in German as a foreign language.

What does guest student mean?

What does guest student mean?

As a guest student you are allowed to attend (audit) lectures at Offenburg University and also enroll in German language courses.

You do not have official student status, however, and cannot take part in the examinations. This also means that you do not have to pay tuition fees.

 

 

 

 

How can I become a guest student?

You may apply to become a guest student at the student registrar's office of the study program in which you would like to participate. 

If available, please bring your German language certificates along.

What if I don't have any of the required documents?

Go to the TestAS website (available in English as well as Arabic). TestAS is a test of your ability to study at a German university. At the same time you have to take a university qualification exam. Passing it counts as an equivalent to a secondary-school certificate.
