The beginning of your studies can sometimes be difficult--everything is new! However, once you have completed your university-entrance qualification abroad, you will find a whole new world of learning and teaching. We are there to support you in this new world of academia, and have also put together a program to help you get started and get ahead in your studies.

If you want to find an internship or a job, a good application is your first step to success. However, each country has its own rules and standards. In this seminar you will learn all about the characteristics of German application portfolios.

You can discuss any questions you may have about the labour market with an advisor from the Agentur für Arbeit.

Technical German

The Technical German seminar offers you numerous practice-related exercises and tasks and provides you with the basic linguistic means to be able to communicate properly and professionally in the technical field.

An essential factor is the knowledge of the requirements of the foreign higher education system for the student. Scientific writing is a central part of the course and writing competence contributes significantly to the success of the course. The course is aimed at international students and foreign students with a German language level of at least B1.

Tips for financing your studies

Academic study is a new stage in life that brings with it many interesting and new experiences. Sometimes, however, unexpected difficulties arise, especially when you have completed your schooling in another country. No matter what these difficulties are, we will be happy to support you. Experienced students of the University can answer all your questions about studying and living in the Offenburg region, provide insider tips on leisure activities, and help you as "buddies" wherever they can.
